About Dr. Avram Howard Mack, DFAPA, FACP, MD

Dr. Avram H. Mack has 24 years of experience in the field of Psychiatry. He earned his BA in History from the University of Michigan and his MD from Weill Medical College Cornell University. After completing his internship and residency in Psychiatry at Brigham and Women's Hospital, he went on to complete fellowships in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Columbia University Irving Medical Center and in Forensic Psychiatry at Bellevue Hospital Center. Today, this expert is board certified in Psychiatry, Forensic Psychiatry, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and Addiction Medicine. Formerly, he served as a Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at Georgetown University School of Medicine and as the Program Director of the Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. He also served as the Co-Medical Director of the Behavioral Health Integrated Program and a Patient Safety Officer at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. He currently works as the Chief of the Department of Psychiatry at Nemours Children's Health.
