This highly qualified expert received his MD from the Cornell University School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Harvard Medical School. He pursued a fellowship in Therapeutic Endoscopy, Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Mayo Clinic. He has published more than 240 peer reviewed articles in professional journals and is a frequent lecturer at top universities and hospitals. He has authored 6 textbooks on endoscopy and gastroenterology. He belongs to multiple professional organizations including the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He was a former instructor of Medicine at the Mayo Clinic, as well as an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas-Houston Health Science Center and the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is currently the Director of Gastrointestinal Therapeutic Endoscopy and an Professor of Medicine at a top academic medical center.
