This highly qualified board certified expert obtained his M.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He then completed his residency in Otolaryngology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He went on to finish a fellowship in Head and Neck Surgical Oncology at the prestigious Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is a member of multiple professional societies such as the American Academy of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery and the American Head and Neck Society. He has published more than 180 peer-reviewed articles, reviews, book chapters, and textbook pertaining to thyroid and parathyroid diseases. He is currently the Director of the Multidisciplinary Thyroid Tumor Center, the Director of the Division of Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery, the Director of the Head and Neck Endocrine Surgery Fellowship, and the Charles W. Cummings MD Endowed Professor of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at a top 10 medical university.
