This expert is a board-certified and fellowship-trained expert with over 35 years of experience as an endocrinologist. Elected as a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and recognized as a Top Doctor for Endocrinology by Washingtonian Magazine, he has published extensively on diabetes. He currently serves as Medical Director of the Diabetes and Obesity Institute at a university medical center. He is also the medical director for diabetes at a 900 bed tertiary care teaching hospital His primary area of expertise is in the management of diabetes mellitus and diabetic complications. He is particularly interested and published in the following: type 1 diabetes, diabetic hypoglycemia, diabetic neuropathy and foot care and the management of patients with diabetes in the hospital.
