Expert Qualifications

This board certified expert has been practicing as an Emergency Physician for over 15 years. Currently, as the Emergency Department’s Director of Quality Assurance, she is responsible for ensuring that the standards of care are met. She has performed over 100 case reviews and has provided expert opinions for litigation cases and internal peer reviews. She has reviewed over 800 cases of 72 hour bounce-back cases and unexpected ICU upgrade cases. She has developed and implemented quality assurance projects -- Pneumonia Protocol, Alcohol Detox and Withdrawal Protocol, Hypergycemia Protocol and Chest Pain Protocol – that have improved care and have exceeded compliance measures. In addition, she continues to work clinically as an Emergency Physician. She continues to identify potential areas of improvement and implements guidelines in the Emergency Department according to the standards of care.
