Expert Qualifications

This double board certified former Yale University professor has over 30 years of experience in critical care, trauma and surgery. He is highly active in the research community with millions of dollars in successful research grants. He is a prolific scholar with over 500 hundred peer-reviewed abstracts and peer-reviewed articles published in a wide variety of highly regarded medical journals such as the Journal of Trauma, Annals of Surgery and the World Journal of Surgery. In addition to his research papers he has authored 26 book chapters in surgical textbooks as well as four textbooks of his own. He is recognized both nationally and internationally with invitations to lecture of surgery and critical care throughout the United States and overseas. He has received numerous honors and awards throughout his illustrious career, most notably Yale Surgical Residency Award for Excellence in Surgical Teaching and the Boston University Medical Student Teaching Award. He currently has tenure at a major university where he overseas surgical education.
