Expert Qualifications

This well credentialed Biomedical Engineer directed a federally-funded bioengineering laboratory at a prominent Midwestern research university and now oversees biomechanics and mechanobiology of orthopaedic and cardiac tissues at a large school in the western U.S. He graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Brown University. He then went on to earn his doctorate in Biomedical Engineering from UC Davis, and he completed a fellowship at UC Davis School of Medicine and UC Berkeley. He has a thorough knowledge of medical device design, characterization, and analysis, as well as biomechanics, imaging, tribology, and orthopaedic and cardiovascular treatments. He is an active member of the Biomedical Engineering Society, the Orthopaedic Research Society, and the National Institutes of Health Musculoskeletal Tissue Engineering Study Section.
